Insights from Tokeniza: A Q&A with the Team
What roles are you currently looking to fill within the hub, and how can ambassadors contribute to the Spain hub?
We’re currently looking to expand our team of regional ambassadors, aiming to reach at least five members by the end of 2024. This will allow us to join the global Regional Hubs competition.
Right now, there are two ambassadors, and we hope to add three more. The ambassador profile is flexible, welcoming real estate professionals, influencers, web3 experts, or simply motivated individuals eager to learn and share the exciting world of tokenization and decentralized finance.
What areas or regions are you focusing on for outreach and expansion?
Our goal is to bring together the entire Spanish-speaking Blocksquare community, regardless of their country of residence. As our hub grows, we plan to expand and organize by regions—whether by continents, countries, or cities—depending on the number of regional ambassadors we have.
Can you share any other benefits of working within the hub beyond the standard program incentives?
In my dual role as both a regional ambassador and marketplace operator at Tokeniza, our incentives align closely with the Blocksquare program, providing additional benefits. For instance, if an ambassador onboards a new real estate asset to the Tokeniza marketplace, which is also part of the global Blocksquare network, they receive the program’s incentives plus an additional 10% of Tokeniza’s revenue billed to the property owner, provided the Property Tokens are marketed.
Additionally, they earn a 2% referral commission on investments over 5,000 DAI per tokenized property. Ideally, each Regional Hub should aim to operate a marketplace, ensuring consistent incentives and giving ambassadors hands-on experience with real estate tokenization.
What upcoming events do you have, and how can interested individuals join?
We’re hosting monthly webinars to showcase the benefits of the Blocksquare Regional Hub program and recruit regional ambassadors. Once we reach five ambassadors, we’ll implement a point-based attribution model, rewarding event attendees, contest participants, and referrals with BST tokens.
This means that not only ambassadors, but also community participants, can earn BST rewards generated by our hub’s performance in competition with other regional hubs. Interested individuals are welcome to join these events and become part of our growing community.
How do you see the Regional Hub contributing to the growth of tokenization in your region?
The Regional Hub plays a crucial role in driving awareness and adoption of tokenization in Spain and the broader Spanish-speaking community. By engaging directly with local real estate professionals, web3 enthusiasts, and motivated newcomers, we build a supportive network that educates and onboards individuals to tokenized real estate.
Events, incentives, and community rewards further reinforce engagement, creating a dynamic environment for learning and collaboration. This grassroots approach enables us to foster trust and understanding, helping tokenization grow sustainably and inclusively in the region.
Are there any challenges you’ve faced, and how have you overcome them?
Our main challenges are twofold: web3 user experience and evolving legislation. Although Ethereum gas fees have improved, they still lag behind other networks and layer-2 solutions. Users need a basic understanding of creating wallets, managing gas, and avoiding scams.
Fortunately, web3 innovation is progressing, with solutions like account abstraction allowing gas-free transactions and secure biometric authentication. On the regulatory side, Europe’s complex bureaucracy slows industry growth, driving startups to more favorable jurisdictions. However, Blocksquare is addressing these challenges, making operations smoother for marketplace operators.
Regional Hub Spain is paving the way for the adoption of tokenized real estate, and they’re inviting you to join their journey. If you’re ready to make an impact, contribute to blockchain innovation, and be part of a dynamic team, now is the time to get involved.
